SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - On Wednesday, state lawmakers will meet for their final comprehensive property tax meeting.

There are 22 proposals to improve the issue of property tax; many share similar ideas, while others are quite unique.

Lawmakers will have to decide how they can best tackle the issue without once again shifting the burden.

Sioux Falls Representative Greg Jamison said the issue of property taxes remains a tough question to answer because the burden always ends up getting shifted one way or another, adding that cutting down on government spending might not be the best solution either.
