MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) —This week, we honor Maple Keesee as the WKRG News 5 Scholar Athlete of the Week.

Keesee is a junior at Davidson High School, where she plays varsity volleyball.

She is a part of the South Alabama Volleyball Academy.

Keesee is a member of the EPIC program, takes Advanced Placement classes, and has a 3.5 GPA.

Her coach says she is the heart of the team, and her energy and uplifting personality boost the team in crucial moments, making her a valuable leader on and off the court.
