SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – A 41-year-old woman died following a three-vehicle crash on Highway 126 at 52nd Street on Tuesday morning, according to the Springfield Police Department.

SPD officials said they responded to the crash at about 6:30 a.m. on Oct. 21. A preliminary investigation of the incident showed that an eastbound Toyota pickup struck a semi-truck turning onto Highway 126 from 52nd Street, police said. Authorities said the Toyota was disabled in the intersection from the crash, while the semi-truck pulled off onto the shoulder. The disabled Toyota was then struck by another eastbound vehicle, police said. Springfield police officials said the Toyota’s driver, a 41-year-old woman, died as a result of this second crash.
