TEMPLE, Texas — When Samuel Andrade and Crystela Garcia went to distribute tips to their employees at La Monarca Cravings in Temple, they discovered something was missing. The tip jar had vanished, leaving hardworking staff members without the money they had earned.

"I give my employees their tips every night and I had asked my employees, I was like, 'do you guys know where the tip jar is?'" Garcia recalled. "Nobody knew."

Security camera footage revealed the unsettling truth: a DoorDash delivery worker picking up an order had taken the jar. For Garcia and Andrade, who have operated their Temple location for two years, it was a devastating blow.

"It just breaks my heart to see that somebody would, somebody actually that's picking up an order from DoorDash would do that," Garcia said.
