Salesforce founder and CEO Marc Benioff was once revered for his philanthropy and progressive politics. But last week, Benioff said that he supports President Trump sending National Guard troops to San Francisco.

What followed was a firestorm of condemnation from prominent city leaders like Mayor Daniel Lurie and other tech titans including Benioff’s close friend Ron Conway. Although Benioff backtracked and apologized, his relationship with Trump still stands in question.
