MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) -A 37-year-old Lafayette County man faces 60 charges including mistreating animals after more than a dozen starved animals were found on his property.
According to a criminal complaint, Jeslias Murillo-Lopez had 18 German Shepherds in a shed with no lighting. A kitten near his property was also rescued.
Deputies believe there was a “community feeding” style as food was dumped on the floor. In the complaint, officials describe the water resources as dirt sludge.
Lafayette County deputies also found ten sheep on his property, and another was found dead, the complaint said.
Murillo-Lopez met with officials and was arrested on Friday.
He appeared in court on Tuesday and was ordered a $25,000 cash bond. He cannot leave the state without court approval and cannot own an
