Michele Aguilar, a preschool teacher from Cerritos, is crafting unique Dodger-themed boots from her home, known locally as the "Dodger House."
Aguilar, inspired by her late father, has turned her passion for the Dodgers into a creative endeavor by repurposing pieces of jerseys into the stylish footwear. Her creations gained attention after being featured on KTLA during the Dodgers World Series victory parade last year.
"Once they saw them on your feet, it was like nonstop, 'WHAT IS GOING ON?'" Aguilar told KTLA’s Annie Rose Ramos, who sports a pair of her own.
Aguilar balances her time between teaching preschoolers and crafting Dodger-themed items in her workshop. She describes the boot-making process as a simple, crafty project that fits her busy schedule.
