Hawthorn playmaker Josh Weddle has reportedly been offered a lucrative seven-year deal by Essendon, less than one week after the 2025 trade period.
AFL Media reports that the Bombers’ bold play for the 21-year-old would be worth almost $10 million, and see him contracted at Tullamarine until the end of 2033.
The versatile 191cm Hawk is contracted until the end of next year, and has given no indication yet he would want a fresh start at a second AFL club.
