A brothel customer who sexually assaulted a sex worker has left his victim feeling like a "gremlin" who "no longer felt safe in the world".

"I want this man to know how he treated me was not OK," the victim told the ACT Supreme Court last week.

In a statement, the woman detailed how isolated she had felt since being raped in multiple ways by Rony Niatin , no longer wanting to go out or leave her home.

"In order to continue living my life, I have had to push down my feelings about this incident, and I am carrying all my emotions around with me," she said.

"I bottle up all my emotions and sometimes I just can't anymore and it all comes out and it makes life really difficult."
