DES MOINES, Iowa -- As promised, it was a brisk and blustery day with wind gusts over 40 mph in most areas, even exceeding 50 mph in Mason City. Winds will diminish a bit and temperatures warm a bit tomorrow.

We first have to get through the coldest morning of the season so far. A frost advisory is in effect for a good chunk of the WHO 13 viewing area.

After a sunny Wednesday and Thursday, clouds will begin to move in again late Friday and stick around this weekend. The next rain chance will come late on a breezy Monday into a breezy Tuesday.

Upcoming highs and your WHO 13 7-day forecasts are above. We look to stay at or above average temperature-wise.
