CONWAY, S.C. (WBTW) -- A Pee Dee-based pizza restaurant is buzzing with business after winning an international award.

Anto's Pizza in Conway took home first place at Rome's Pizza World Cup for their focaccia bread.

Owner Anthony Ludovici-Debrigida described the win as overwhelming, but that hasn't stopped him from getting covered in flour as he carries out his passion.

"We were selling out pretty not regularly, but probably once a week. It would be like 6, 7 p.m. And now we're selling out like between 4 and 5 every day," he said.

Newcomers waited in line bright and early Monday morning just try the prize-winning dough.

"This is so great for our hometown," locals Rita and Brian Root said. "I can't wait to taste it. Looking forward to it."
