KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Baylor women’s basketball coach Nicki Collen was sitting courtside at the T-Mobile Center during last season’s Big 12 Tournament game between Iowa State and Arizona and watched intently as Cyclones star Addy Brown put on a show.

Brown guided her team to a 96-88 win that night, pouring in 41 points (an Iowa State record for a Big 12 Tournament game) to set up a showdown with Baylor in the quarterfinals the following day. Collen was scouting the Cyclones and knew they had to slow down Brown.
