MADISON, Wis. --- Joe Thomas is the guest on this week's Wisconsin Huddle. Above his Hall of Fame gold jacket — his legendary career — being a Badger means the most to him.

The program is in a much different place than when he left in 2006. The landscape of college football, including the ability to pay players, has also changed.

Chris McIntosh, Wisconsin's Athletic Director, announced increased funding to the football program, which Joe says is a step in the right direction.

Joe Thomas said, "You're not able to just recruit on reputation and all the great fountains that you have in your weight room and the reputation that you have, like you can actually pay guys more.
