MERCED COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – The Merced County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in identifying a man and a young woman who were caught stealing pumpkins from the St. Paul Lutheran Church and School.

St. Paul School and Preschool Principal Ruth Sebastian says the bandits made off with about 20 pumpkins. This happened back on Oct. 11, around 7 a.m. While no one was at school at the time, the crime was all caught on camera.

Ring footage shows a silver SUV pulling up to St. Paul Lutheran Schools' front office, located behind the church. First, a young girl gets out and picks up a large pumpkin. While she goes to take it to the car, an older man in white proceeds to do the same. Both of them return again and again, picking pumpkin after pumpkin.
