MERCED, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Merced's first Filipino food truck is set to open this weekend.

Kapwa Eats will be parked on Main Street, serving up authentic Filipino cuisine starting this Saturday.

The menu features traditional dishes like adobo, Shanghai lumpia, and Turon. In the future, the owners say visitors can also expect special feature dishes like lechon, mechado, and kare kare.

The new eatery is holding its soft opening this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 1240 W. Main St.
