WASHINGTON — With just two weeks to go until Election Day, both major candidates in Virginia's closely watched gubanatorial race are receiving high profile endorsements.

Former President Barack Obama is expected to join Democratic candidate Abigail Spanberger on the campaign trail the day before voters head to the polls.

"Virginia's elections are some of the most important in the country this year," Obama says in a newly released campaign ad. "I'm proud to endorse Abigail Spanberger."

Meanwhile, Republican candidate Winsome Earle-Sears continues to receive backing from President Donald Trump, who recently reaffirmed his support.
