TYLER, Texas — The East Texas State Fair Rodeo has been nominated for the Pro Rodeo Cowboys Association's Medium Rodeo of the Year.

The PRCA holds the annual PRCA Awards every year before the start of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo presented by Teton Ridge. On Tuesday, they announced the 2025 nominations for each award category.

The nomination makes the East Texas State Fair Rodeo among the top 5 rodeos in the country. The East Texas State Fair Rodeo competes against four other rodeos:

Gem State Classic Pro Rodeo, Blackfoot, Idaho

Dayton Championship Rodeo, Dayton, Iowa

Flint Hills Rodeo, Strong City, Kan.

Black Hills Roundup, Belle Fourche, S.D.
