CINCINNATI (WXIX) - The City of Covington is exploring a proposal to create a common consumption area downtown that would allow people to walk around with alcoholic beverages in marked cups while shopping and walking during designated times.
A public forum on the proposal was held at Covington City Hall Tuesday night where dozens of residents, business owners, and stakeholders voiced their opinions before city leaders.
“This is a business positive and a growing trend that we should at least think about and consider more,” one resident said during the meeting.
