CINCINNATI (WXIX) -The Emergency Shelter of Northern Kentucky held its second annual drop-off donation event on Thursday to prepare for colder temperatures this winter.
Ruslyn Case-Compton is the Office manager and acting director of the Emergency Shelter of Northern Kentucky, and she told FOX 19 that they want to get as many supplies as they can.
“During the winter, people who are living on the streets and don’t have a stable place to live can really suffer,” she said. “We’re inviting members of the community to drop off supplies that we can use to help people during winter shelter, which starts Nov. 1.”
She said they need clothing, food, toiletries, bedding and towels.
Everything they don’t use goes to other charities like St. Vincent DePaul or the Salvation Army, and everything that
