Diet and nutrition play a crucial role in maintaining the health and function of your eyes. Already around 2 million people in the UK live with some form of sight loss and this figure is expected to increase to 2.7million by 2030, according to government predictions.

Tissues in the eye use a lot of oxygen, which causes oxidative stress as a byproduct. This damages cells and can trigger disease and illness but some nutrients like zinc and vitamin A are incredibly good at clearing out these harmful substances.
