SALT LAKE CITY — The Wyoming State Capitol in Cheyenne was evacuated on Tuesday after officials received a report of a suspected IED in the building.
The Wyoming Highway Patrol said the building was evacuated quickly, and that a “multi-agency, precautionary response (was) underway.”
By Tuesday night, officials said the investigation was continuing, and the WHP asked people who may have witnessed suspicious activity to come forward.
“ If any suspicious activity was seen or recorded in the early morning hours of October 21st, please contact DCI Wyoming [Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation],” the WHP said.
On Tuesday evening officials updated the road closures that had been in effect and said that all streets that had been closed or impacted were open.
