A young man critically injured in a rollover is at the centre of an outpouring of love and support from his community as his family focuses on his recovery.

Uriah Peek, an 18-year-old from the Noosa suburb of Tewantin, was a passenger in a silver Mazda hatchback travelling eastbound on McKinnon Dr in Cooroibah on the Sunshine Coast , Queensland, when the vehicle left the road and rolled at about 7am on October 12.

His sister, Clare Quinn — one half of the Gympie-based band Those Folk — told 7NEWS.com.au she learned about the car crash on Sunday morning at about 10.30am.

Uriah suffered multiple broken bones in his face, including his jaw and nose, and lost one eye.

He was airlifted to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a life-threatening condition.
