NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – It's now the third week of the government shutdown, and this Friday will mark the first full paycheck missed. "Our departments always working hard to make sure that we stay ready for all of the fallout from the unpredictability that we've seen throughout 2025," said New Mexico Workforce Solutions Spokesperson Stacy Johnston.

Three weeks into the government shutdown, thousands of New Mexicans are in limbo. "They are coming in daily, and we are taking care of those claims," said Johnston.
