( 25News Now ) - Tanner Benedict grew up going to El-Paso Gridley football games, and would later strap on the pads for the Titans when he got to high school.

After taking over as the EPG head coach at only 23, the fifth-year coach now has his former team firing on all cylinders with a perfect 8-0 record.

With one more regular season game against Shelbyville on Friday night, Benedict and the Titans are flying high, and ready to make the community proud headed into the State Playoffs next week.
