ATLANTA — A Georgia family is suing Roblox Corporation, alleging the gaming platform failed to protect their then-12-year-old son from being groomed and coerced by online predators. Now 14, the boy is one of nearly two dozen minors across the country whose families claim Roblox enabled child exploitation due to lax safety protocols.

The child’s attorney, Stanley Gipe, said the boy was playing Roblox when he was contacted by someone posing as a young girl. The predator allegedly used publicly available images to impersonate a peer, eventually coercing the boy into sending sexually explicit images of himself.
