CONCORD — It came down to the last kick of the ball Tuesday night at Garnet Valley. Or, more accurately, the last shoulder of the ball.
Taylor Bryan threw her body at a corner kick and bundled it over the line with 7.2 seconds left in double overtime to lead 13th-seeded Garnet Valley past Souderton, 2-1, in the first round of the District 1 Class 4A tournament.
The clock stopped with 11.1 seconds left, the Jaguars having won a corner but an injury to Souderton’s Hannah Beckett allowing them the time to take it.
