New Delhi: Manchester City striker Erling Haaland continued his red-hot goalscoring form to help his team beat Villarreal 2-0 in the UEFA Champions League 2025-26 on Wednesday. Haaland scored the opening goal for City in the game to extend his goalscoring streak to 12 matches across all competitions for club and country.
The Norwegian striker has been in impressive form this season and has been scoring one game after another for City. With his latest goal against Villarreal on Wednesday, Haaland equalled the legendary Cristiano Ronaldo’s record for scoring in 12 consecutive matches across competitions. Ronaldo enjoyed his career-best scoring streak of 12 matches during his time with Real Madrid in 2018.
