On Sept. 26, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took the stage before the United Nations General Assembly to defend his country’s assault on Palestinians in the Gaza strip. Since his speech at the U.N., the once defiant Netanyahu has since caved to President Donald Trump’s ambitions to improve his peacemaking record and orchestrate peace in Gaza.
The following Monday, the two faced the world in a joint press conference where Trump announced Netanyahu’s agreement to a 20-point plan to end the war in Gaza and determine the future of Palestine.
Hamas partially accepted the terms of Trump’s peace plan on Oct. 3, releasing a carefully crafted statement that didn’t mention acceptance to some of Israel’s terms of the plan but showed a readiness to immediately engage in negotiat
