Large crowds took to the streets in Grand Junction and across the United States last weekend, cultivating a “block party” vibe in a series of protests against President Donald Trump’s administration.
Indivisible Grand Junction — the local branch of Indivisible Colorado and its nationwide counterpart known simply as “Indivisible” — organized the protest downtown on Saturday. As with others across the nation, the event involved participants playing music, dancing, and sometimes dressing in whimsical costumes as they carried signs criticizing Trump, his cabinet and his administration’s policies.
“It was specifically targeted and purposeful, to counteract the presidential cabinet’s message that we are something to be afraid of, or that we are trying to destroy this country,” said Indivisible
