Major emergency operation launched after army truck rollover leaves woman trapped in northwest Brisbane

An Australian Army truck has rolled over after it slammed into a car in northwest Brisbane - leaving a woman aged in her 60s trapped.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Baden Lane and Samford Road in Ferny Hills about 3.25pm this afternoon after receiving numerous reports of a multi-vehicle crash, which involved a military truck.

An Australian Defence Force truck is believed to have slammed into a civilian vehicle, which caused the truck to roll over onto its side in the bushes.

The Queensland Ambulance Service confirmed the sole occupant of the car, a 60-year-old woman, was trapped for a short time.

Fire crews had to use a hydraulic press to force open the car door and remove the woman from the vehicle.
