QUAD CITIES, Iowa/Ill. (KWQC) --
Still breezy
Cold mornings with frost
Active next week
While it’s not as windy as yesterday, breezy conditions are making for a chilly start with wind chills in the mid to low 30s.
Northwest winds will remain breezy through the day, keeping temperatures cooler than normal despite the return of sunshine, with most areas reaching the mid-50s for a second straight day.
Tonight, winds will relax enough to allow temperatures to drop into the mid and low 30s, leading to our first widespread frost and freeze potential of the season. That’s why a First Alert Day is in effect for both Thursday and Friday mornings.
Looking ahead to the weekend, breezy south winds return, boosting highs into the mid-60s and increasing our chances for rain by Sunday and Monday.
