OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - More than three weeks after boxer Bud Crawford’s traffic stop in Omaha , the boxing champion returned to his hometown Tuesday night for a ceremony honoring him.

Crawford declined to talk about the incident, which led to press conferences with the police chief and mayor, along with a change to police department policy . Instead, he focused on the community and the organization honoring him.

The Black Brown and Red Coalition bestowed one of the highest honors from the Omaha Tribe on Crawford during the ceremony. Members of the Black, Latino and Native American communities took part.
