Srinagar: In a major political development ahead of the Rajya Sabha elections, Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) President Tariq Hamid Karra has called an emergency meeting of Congress legislators to discuss the National Conference’s proposal for a joint meeting of alliance partners.

The meeting is scheduled for 4:30 PM at the Congress headquarters in Srinagar and will be attended by all sitting MLAs of the party. The move comes after National Conference president Dr. Farooq Abdullah invited alliance partners for a joint strategy session aimed at finalizing the approach for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections and the forthcoming session of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly.
