MORA — Pequot Lakes cruised to another blowout win Wednesday, Oct. 15, to end their second consecutive regular season undefeated at 8-0.
Only one of the eight regular season games was close in scoring, when the Patriots beat Duluth Denfeld by a field goal late in the game. The next closest margin of victory was by 20 points in the season's first game against Esko.
"We are very pleased and somewhat surprised by finishing a second year in a row undefeated during the regular season," Coach Bill Magnuson said, noting when the team and coaching staff met last winter and talked about the upcoming season, they believed the Patriots had a chance to go 5-3 or 6-2.
