A line cook at a Venezuelan restaurant in Doral was arrested Tuesday after he allegedly stole recipe books exclusive to the business.
The suspect, 50-year-old Carlos Francisco Gottberg Marquez, was reportedly employed at a restaurant on 41st Street and 103rd Avenue called Mordisco Miami, according to details released in an arrest report and bond court hearing.
The business contacted Doral police on Oct. 20 to report that three recipe books "that contained instruction specific tot he business related to menu items used in the day-to-day operations" had been stolen, the arrest report states.
The victim business told authorities that they had in-kitchen surveillance systems that caught Gottberg Marquez taking two recipe books on Oct. 12, and a third on Oct. 19.
