HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Lingering moisture in place at the surface from rain that moved through Tuesday has resulted in patchy to dense fog this morning.

The worst fog, resulting in the lowest visibility, is occurring in Northeast Alabama. The National Weather Service has issued a Dense Fog Advisory until 9 a.m. for DeKalb, Jackson, and Marshall counties.

Visibility as low as one-half of a mile will be possible where the dense fog is located. Make sure to use your headlights and leave plenty of room between you and other drivers, as the fog could impact the morning commute
