PAPILLION, Neb. —
The Papillion City Council has unanimously approved its one- and six-year road plan, estimating that road projects for 2025-2026 will cost just under $11.9 million, with significant upgrades planned for traffic signals and road systems.
The plans are required by state law, and help to detail and estimate the cost of upcoming projects. It also allows cities to be eligible for state and federal funding.
The plan includes upgrading traffic signals, which city officials say are much needed in areas like Halleck Park.
"We're actually taking it from a rural cross-section to an urban cross-section. So we'll have a two-lane head-to-head road going around the park," said a city official.
