LUBBOCK, Texas — Lubbock Fire Rescue responded Wednesday morning around 6:37 a.m. to a residential structure fire near 41st Street and Avenue P.

According to LFR, the initial call reported that a neighboring house was on fire.

LFR said crews arrived on scene with a working fire and fire showing from the back side of the house.

Crews made entry where they found that several parts of the structure had allowed for the floor to burn through.

Crews immediately worked to protect the neighboring house from catching fire as well.

The fire is extinguished at this time and was contained to the one structure

The Fire Marshal is investigating the cause.

No injuries have been reported at this time.
