Parents everywhere know holidaying with children can feel like anything but a vacation.

Certainly, there is always an element of Instagram-versus-reality when it comes to posting about those family trips.

Now, a dad from the US who happens to be a reality TV producer by day has made a reel about his family's recent holiday and let's just say he nailed it.

Self-described "dad content creator" Devin McGovern and his wife Marlene Martinez, who US Today described as a story editor, recently took their two kids and Martinez's father on a vacation to Hawaii.

Like any good parents, they decided to document their travels, but soon realised their home videos more closely resembled a horror movie, so McGovern turned them into an Instagram reel.
