Amid the Prince Andrew drama circling the British royal family , Prince William is attempting to get attention firmly back on his charitable endeavours.

The Prince of Wales made a celebrity-filled announcement on Wednesday, revealing Australian music icon Kylie Minogue would be joining the lineup for this year's Earthshot Prize in Rio de Janeiro next month.

"Brazil – I'm coming back! It's a privilege and honour to be part of The Earthshot Prize in Rio – on stage with the people and the ideas that could save our planet," Minogue said of the announcement.

Minogue will be joined at the awards night by Canadian pop star Shawn Mendes as well as Brazilian music stars Anitta, Gilberto Gil and Seu Jorge.
