Following suit with the Coconino County Planning and Zoning Commission's decision in July , the county Board of Supervisors approved two zoning changes and a preliminary subdivision plat for the Maclaine Meadows project in Valle during its Oct. 14 meeting.

Unanimous across all five supervisors in both decisions, the project was praised for its mix of affordable workforce housing and commercial resort space, as well as the other infrastructure developments it proposed to bring to the 122 acres of land less than a mile north of the intersection of Arizona State Route 64 and U.S. Route 180.
