(KFVS) - The 29th National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is set for Saturday, October 25.
With nearly 4,000 collection sites throughout the country, the Drug Enforcement Agency’s National Prescription Take Back Day encourages you to safely and anonymously dispose of unnecessary, expired and unused prescription medications.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, the DEA and its partners will collect tablets, capsules, patches and other forms of prescription drugs.
According to the department, it will not collect syringes, sharps and illicit drugs.
They say liquid products like cough syrup should be sealed in the original container.
