MIDDLETOWN, CT (WFSB) - Firefighters in Middletown said their dive team was activated for a possible water rescue.

Crews were called to an area near the Arrigoni Bridge on Wednesday morning.

“Units will be operating around the bridge and Harbor Park, please stay clear of the area,” said City of Middletown Professional Firefighters Local 1073.

Police said they received information that someone went into the water, but they were still investigating the validity.

Channel 3 has a crew headed to the scene.
