Fetterman Calls Trump’s Reported $230M DOJ Cash Grab ‘Small Ball’: ‘We Have Much Bigger Problems’

Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) dismissed President Donald Trump’s reported attempt to get a $230 million payout from the Department of Justice as a “small ball” distraction from “bigger problems.”

Fetterman joined CNN’s John Berman on Wednesday morning, where the senator said he hopes reports about the president seeking the massive payout from taxpayers is not true.

“The president yesterday seemed to acknowledge that he’s trying to get a $230 million payout from the government in response to a couple of the investigations into him. That would be taxpayer money. How do you feel about the president pushing for that?” Berman asked.
