National Geographic’s list of the best places to travel to in 2026 may include one you’ve already experienced for yourself.

Pittsburgh earned a spot on the magazine’s 2026 “Best of the World” roundup — a list compiling the most compelling global travel destinations — for the second year in a row.

The list highlights 25 “diverse destinations” — Pittsburgh among them — handpicked by National Geographic’s “global community of explorers, photographers and editors.”

“It’s an incredible honor for Pittsburgh to be included,” Jerad Bachar, president and CEO of VisitPittsburgh, said in a press release. “It’s a reflection of our region’s continuing evolution.”
