KANSAS CITY - The good news for injured Iowa State basketball point guard Tamin Lipsey is, well, that there really isn't any news.

The sprained knee that's kept him sidelined for the last month continues to progress, which keeps him on schedule to be available come the team's Nov. 3 season-opener at Hilton Coliseum.

"We’re on pace," Lipsey said Oct. 22 at Big 12 media day inside T-Mobile Arena.

Lipsey suffered a Grade 2 MCL Sprain to his right knee during practice on Sept. 23. Iowa State initially gave a 4-to-6 week timetable for his return, which would take him right up to that season-debut game against FDU. He will not play in Sunday's exhibition against Northwestern.
