DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — There are possible injuries after it appears a train hit a semi-truck in Decatur Wednesday.

The Decatur Police Department confirmed officers responded to a motor-vehicle accident just after 10 a.m. at the intersection of Woodford Street and McBride Street.

Police did not comment on injuries, but WAND was on the scene and saw what appears to be EMS helping someone next to a stretcher.

Both lanes at the crossing appear to be closed. DPD said officers were likely there for traffic control.

The situation is ongoing. WAND is working to learn more.
