MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) -- A commercial airplane made an emergency landing at the Myrtle Beach International Airport late Wednesday morning after reporting possible smoke in the cockpit, MYR officials said.
Flight crew reported the issue at about 11:30 a.m., according to officials. As a precaution, MYR emergency response units were dispatched to their designated staging areas.
The aircraft landed safely shortly after and went to its assigned terminal gate, the officials said. After an initial inspection, no visible smoke was observed, and the passengers exited normally.
The airline will conduct a further inspection prior to flying it again.
