SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The South Carolina Department of Public Health said four new measles cases in the Upstate have been confirmed.

The new cases bring the state’s total to 23 this year. A total of 20 cases are part of a current outbreak.

SCDPH said two of the cases were among close contacts of other known cases and the patients have been quarantining at home.

None were present in any school settings while contagious.

Officials said the other two cases were associated with a business with no public exposure.
