NORRISTOWN – Norristown council members caught a glimpse of 2026 financials Tuesday evening ahead of the 2026 budget season as the municipality faces a nearly $3.3 million deficit.

The lengthy presentation was the sole item on the Oct. 21 Norristown Municipal Council work session agenda as municipal leaders addressed elected officials regarding the department budgets and wish list items.

Norristown Councilman Dustin Queenan observed “this is the biggest increase” as he and fellow elected officials took in the budget projections. “The first thing in my mind is are costs going up?”
